“Heather and I worked together for many years and she’s someone from whom I’ve learned a great deal about the practical side of creativity. Her creative process extends beyond the “whiz-bang, wow their socks off” (and no doubt, she does) to the important considerations of the business need driving the project and the utility of the project’s execution. I have a few good examples of this, but I’ll share my favorite: years ago, a designer wanted to do an over-sized event book, and everyone agreed that the prototype did, in fact, look pretty great.
Heather said, “this does look stunning, but let’s pretend we are at this event, shall we?” She took a chair and instructed everyone to do the same and we all sat in a row. She said, “now open your programs,” and we all did. It was clear immediately they were difficult to hold, then she said, “now it’s time to applaud,” so we put them in our laps and the pages flopped to each side of our laps and slid off to the floor. Then she took a pen with a smile and said, “I’m taking notes,” but the ink wouldn’t transfer to the paper. We had a good laugh, but more importantly, we learned a lesson: The best designs are the ones that suit the ultimate purpose.
This anecdote not only demonstrates her skills as a creative director, but also as a coach. You simply cannot work with Heather and not learn something, but where some might deliver the message in a despotic way, Heather gets those around her to think and come to the right conclusion. It’s won her legions of fans in our organization from New York to New Delhi from clients and designers alike.”

Former Marketing Segment Director
“I’m one lucky person in that I’ve had the opportunity to have Heather manage numerous large scale global programs that required her consulting on art direction and overall branding elements – both internally and externally to ensure all aspects of design assets are in sync, which is critical for multi channel marketing. Global programs require special talent – someone who understands that global success also requires regional/geo understanding to really make a global impact. Heather demonstrates this global mindset time and time again. Her ability to drive successful campaigns (from beginning to end) is achieved through her ability to ask the rights questions, provide sound business advice, deliver a solid design/brand strategy. Heather’s global success also is greatly enhanced by her purposeful intent to take time during her travels to truly understand the culture and the people. This in turn helps Heather deliver amazing global programs that resonate locally.”

EY
Associate Director
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Heather at EY in various capacities. Without a doubt, Heather is the most strategically creative professional I’ve worked with as she is able to take very little details and direction and create outstanding deliverables. She is also excellent at making you think more strategically about what you are trying to accomplish by offering guidance and advice. She is able to do all of this based on her years of experience working on various, numerous and undeniably intense projects, which has required her to handle multiple challenging personalities, and significantly tight deadlines.
Heather is a great team leader, consistently proving her ability to manage complex teams tasked with routinely addressing a multitude of projects and deadlines. She is very professional and takes tremendous pride in her work and the work of her team members. With Heather, it’s never about just completing an assignment – it’s always about creating strategic and thoughtful deliverables and guidance that enable her clients to always put their best foot forward.”
